Day Eight: Teacher Appreciation

Day Eight: Teacher Appreciation
This week, we have the wonderful opportunity to express Gratitude for the faithful men and women who have taught our children this year.  I am in SUCH gratitude for the creativity, heart and dedication of the individuals who have supported us in having an Amazing Year!!  Fortunately, this is another area that is Abundant with Online Suggestions!  We chose to make Thank You Bags for our Teachers, and to fill them with snacks and words of encouragement.
Completed Thank You Bag
First, we prepared a Brown Paper Lunch Bag with some Easter Grass on the bottom, and a Thank You Card on the Front.  Next, we began preparing our Ingredients with their individual cards...we choose to include the following:
  • A Red Apple - A+ Teacher
  • 1 Packet of Microwave Popcorn - You Are a "POP"ular Teacher!
  • A 100 Grand Candy Bar - We Think You're Worth $100 Grand!!
  • A Water Bottle with Juice Packet - Thank You for "Quenching" our "Thirst" for Knowledge

To make the Water Bottle Tag, I cut a strip of Construction Paper.  Folded the top third back, and the the bottom third up to form a pocket.  I then cut a circle out of coordinating paper and glued it to the top third.  I then traced a circle big enough to go around the bottle cap and cut out.

Finally, we loaded Everything into our prepared Thank You Bag, folded down the top, and taped it!
We have been very blessed this year with Teachers who have a heart to serve!  We have enjoyed the classroom environment of our Performing Arts Charter School, and SO appreciate their desire to Inspire, Encourage and Bless our kids!!  It is my pleasure to Honor them this week as we PARK at School!!
